Nutrition Counselling

Lifestyle & Nutrition

The most serious problems of modern civilization are malnutrition caused by poverty and shortage of food as encountered in third world countries, and the dietary abuse problems common to the rest of the world.         We find enormous suffering caused by the way we feed ourselves.

Today’s busy lifestyles have influenced our personal choices when it comes to feeding ourselves and our families.         Informed consumers know that we are what we eat, and that food should nourish our bodies and provide the nutrients we need to maintain our health and vitality. There is a shift back to fresh, natural, and organically grown foods.         And we are starting to accept the fact that there is no diet right for everyone all of the time.

At Feel Better Therapies, we focus on:

  • Family nutrition
  • Nutrition for children
  • Nutrition for seniors including food preparation for one
  • Understanding the impact of specific food choices
  • Weight normalization
  • Understanding impact of lifestyle on wellness
  • Understanding the body balance/food connection

Lifestyle and Nutritional Assessment is a study of symptoms as they relate to nutrition.         My role as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) will help guide you to choose the best foods for you and your family.  When modifications to lifestyle and eating habits are not sufficient to regain balance, a RHN is trained to recommend a personalized dietary supplement and detoxification program.

What effects is your lifestyle having on you and your family?  Do you require guidance on:

  • Low Energy
  • Frequent Colds, Flu, or Infections
  • Headaches
  • PMS or Menopausal Symptoms
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Skin Conditions
  • Weight Management
  • Children’s Health Issues (e.g. bedwetting)
  • Constipation, Diarrhoea, or Irritable Bowel
  • Insomnia
  • Mood Swings/Depression
  • Menu Planning for a Busy Schedule
  • Allergies

At Feel Better Therapies, we will introduce you to new dietary choices and more.  During your first appointment, we would review your wellness goals, symptoms, food choices, eating habits, and lifestyle, which would take up to one and half hours.   During your second session, about one week later, we would spend approximately one hour working together to develop a customized plan to help you achieve your goals.  One or two follow-up half-hour appointments are recommended to clear up any lingering questions you may have.

Take time to feel better, so you can fully enjoy your busy life.
